More than 20 years ago, my husband and I started a web design company. In the mid-2000s, online memorials started catching on, so we attempted to create a subsidiary called “Blue Sky Memorials.” The business never took off, but I enjoyed creating pages that memorialized my loved ones, and ancestors I had never met. I decided to incorporate those old memorials into this site, since they illuminate some of my family history.
