Lassers, Martin 1955-2012

January 25, 1955 – February 21, 2012

On February 21, 2012, Martin Isgro Lassers of Rochester Hills passed away suddenly after a lifetime battle with diabetes. He was 57.

He is survived by former wife Jo Isgro and their sons Geoffrey Lassers (Jaime Cockerline) and Alexander Lassers (Christine); brother Harold Lassers (Pam); father Arthur Lassers (Fran Kipling; and grandson Frederick Martin Lassers.  His mother Elaine Steinberg Lassers preceded him in death.

Martin was an IT project manager and an active volunteer for the Project Management Institute. He was an enthusiastic member of Toastmasters International (District #28) and an avid bicyclist.

Martin was also a voracious reader, inspired by a Mitch Albom article to read 1,000 books during his lifetime. The list of the more than 600 books that Martin read is below. You may wish to remember Martin by reading a book in honor of our loving father, son, brother, and friend.

A memorial service will be held Friday, March 23, 2012, at 10:00 a.m., with visitation from 9-10 a.m. at Riverside Chapel, Simpson-Modetz Funeral Home, 5630 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford, Michigan.
